The PELVIC Mentor advanced simulator provides hands-on anatomy and pelvic exam training.  Far more sophisticated than any other simulator of its type on the market, the PELVIC Mentor allows nurses, nurse practitioners, doctorate of nursing programs, certified nurse midwives, OB/GYNs, family practice doctors, physician assistants, medical students, and physician assistant learners to obtain detailed knowledge of pelvic anatomy and to acquire the comprehensive skills required to perform pelvic exams.

A strong didactic tool, the PELVIC Mentor provides trainees with immediate feedback on anatomical recognition and the opportunity to practice pelvic exams accurately.  The unique combination of the model’s anatomical structure, finger sensation and virtual model provide the most effective training tool to date, aimed at developing physician confidence during pelvic examination.

Some other systems (and standardized patients) show what normal anatomy is like, but the PELVIC Mentor shows different pathologies.  These abnormal uteri are critical as some of these conditions are life threatening and are important to identify.

The simulator is very realistic with accurate anatomy identification, easy for learners to use on their own.

Standardized Patients
Training programs often have trouble finding standardized patients willing to be used for pelvic anatomy and pelvic exam training.  Institutions often turn to the PELVIC Mentor to be used in lieu of standardized patients.

Other institutions use the PELVIC Mentor training simulator prior to conducting pelvic exams on standardized patients.  This prior experience makes the learner more confident in what is typically an uncomfortable situation.

In Lieu of Clinical Hours
In some countries, simulation can be used in lieu of up to 50% of clinically mandated hours.  Training programs often invest in the PELVIC Mentor to satisfy clinical time for locations that have trouble finding clinical sites for their learners.

PELVIC Mentor uses a female mannequin with interchangeable anatomies to simulate multiple pathologies

No other pelvic anatomy and pelvic exam simulator provides the PELVIC Mentor’s level of realism and accuracy. This sophisticated training solution combines a physical mannequin with a computerized 3D virtual system.

Sensors are placed on the trainee’s fingers which are used in conjunction with the mannequin and 3D virtual model. This enables the trainee to obtain a real-time indication of finger palpation, downward press on the abdomen and cervix manipulation during the anatomical recognition phase or while performing a pelvic exam.
